Peer Reading

Today in Peer Reading we made a Bright Lights Window Decorator. We needed to organise a hammer, a nail and a piece of wood. The easy part was putting the colouring into the PVA glue, but the hard part was drilling the holes [Thanks Mr Clemenger! Ed]. We learned how to make the bright light decoration and we think our project was a cool project.

Today me and my buddy made Helpful Hexagons. We needed to sort out what we needed and who would bring it. After using a compass to draw the hexagons we cut the hexagons out and put the string through using the compass. We learnt that hexagons can be tricky to draw using a compass. We thought out project was cool and we can't wait to hear any comments on them!'

'Today we made some really cool bubbles. We had to get the ingredients like trays, thin string, ice cream containers and two spoons of water and mixed the ingredients together. The easy part was mixing all of the ingredients and putting it in. The hard part was when we had to make really big bubbles. we learnt how to make a lot of designs. We think we had to work very hard!'

'Today we made a Tongan Broom. We needed to organise tape, grass, scissors and helping hands. The easy part was cutting the grass. None of the project was hard, but we did learn never use too much tape. We thought our project was cool.'

'Today in Peer Reading we did a play called, "The Queen Bee Blues". We needed to organise who was who and what play we were doing. The easy part was acting it out, but the hardest part was choosing a good play that we all liked. We learnt that it isn't easy communicating with four people. We think the play turned out really good. We all liked out parts.'

'Today we made a Hungry Chick. We had to get a plate, coloured card and felt pens. The easy part was painting and the hard part was making the eyes. We learned that following instructions is not easy. We thought it was good for our first time doing it.'

Yesterday we made ice cream. We needed to organise the ingredients which was vanilla essence, cream, ice, salt, castor sugar, containers and measuring spoons. The easiest part was the mixing. When we were icing it in our 'home-made' freezer we were worried that it wasn't going to work, but in the end it did work and it was delicious!!!
